Abstrakt


Hydrochemical investigations in gypsum karstic area of the Nida Basin were carried out by staff of the Geomorphology Department of the Silesia University in years 2003–2004. Two hydrodynamic zones were distinguished: active water exchange zone and disturbed water exchange zone. The first zone is connected with Miocene gypsum layer and is subject to karstification. Mineralization of waters reaches 2 g·dm–3 in the SO4–Ca type of waters, and seldom in the SO4–HCO3–Ca type of waters. The zone of disturbed water exchange occurs in the carbonate sediments of the Upper Cretaceous and Jurassic. Mineralization of waters is below 12 g·dm–3, in the Cl– Na type of water, enriched in micro elements J–, Br– and H2S occur there.
